Course 1
Communicating Complex Medical Content
Learning objective: Gain knowledge to help you tailor communication with parents of newborns in the NICU to be clear, empathetic, and reassuring—treating them as vital members of the NICU care team.

Course 2
Building Relationships With Parents and Caregivers in the NICU
Learning objective: Describe key communication patterns and greeting rituals that establish and nurture valuable bonds between NICU staff and parents and caregivers of newborns.

Course 3
Different Tools to Communicate With Parents and Caregivers of Preterm Babies
Learning objective: Develop the knowledge for implementing a multimodal approach to communicating with parents and caregivers. Leverage e-health, m-health, video calls, and other digital tools to promote inclusivity in the NICU. Tackle language and cultural barriers and digital inequity, while ensuring the use of best practices for sensitive and effective use of technology.

Course 4
Personalizing Family-Centered Care
Learning objective: Demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities for adapting communication and implementing supportive resources in the NICU, considering family socioeconomic status, cultural backgrounds, clinical conditions, and the need for multidisciplinary collaboration in providing holistic care.
